Connection to earth of electric devices.

The connection to earth is a practice forced so much in the industrial or domestic facilities, like in the exploitation of the production systems, transport and distribution of the electric power. The most important reasons to connect to earth are:  
 

• To protect people of the electrocution.  
• To balance potentials among components of oneself electric system. 
• To reduce the potential difference among earth and structures that can accumulate static electricity. 
• To facilitate a sure road to earth of the currents taken place by atmospheric discharges and rays. 
• To facilitate a connection of low impedance among the parts of an electric system, in order to coordinate the protection apparatuses. 
• To minimize the interferences in the communication systems.    

A setting installation to earth should gather, at least, three basic characteristics:  

• To support the corrosion to that subjected low earth will be appropriately.  
• To settle easily. 
• To also avoid the galvanic corrosion to other metals buried.
