Nexans Iberia break the bias

What is a bias ? It's an inclination or prejudice for or against one person or group especially in a way considered to be unfair. Affinity bias, confirmation bias, perception bias, groupthink, halo and horn effects,… many forms of bias exist. In Nexans, we are struggling to fight against every form of discrimination.

Even if the women should be highlighted every single day, the whole March month and especially the 8th of march is the opportunity to communicate louder about our rights, our pride and place in the society.

Celebrating this day is supporting women and feminism. It’s important to clarify the this term. According to the IWDA (International Women Development Agency) : “feminism is about all genders having equal rights and opportunities.”

To me, being a woman in Nexans Iberia is :

• "easy"... In my day-to-day work at Nexans, I deal with both men and women. As long as we have a common goal to achieve, gender takes a back seat – Sophie
• build and being part of diversity  – Isabel
• is an honour and that is why I am proud to be involved in achieving the equality we all deserve – Leire
• to participate in the self-affirmation of women both professionally and personally – Armelle
• a constant challenge – Esther
